The Rhythmic Pulse Vest was designed by Inbal Gross from Knit of the Dragon especially for Fruity Knitting Sport. Please note that the kit does not include the pattern. You can purchase Inbal's pattern via Ravelry or her website.

Inspired by life’s natural highs and lows, the Rhythmic Pulse vest features three vertical ribs flowing through contrasting horizontal stripes, symbolizing resilience and the steady rhythm of moving forward.

Designed with a modern fitted silhouette and English-style shoulders, this top-down vest begins with the back, shaped
using Japanese short rows and tapering from broad shoulders to a narrower back.
The fronts are picked up from the shoulders, joined at the neckline, and worked to the underarm before joining in the round. The body can be worked straight or shaped for a customized fit. A high neck and carefully shaped armhole ribbing complete the contemporary look.

The pattern includes detailed video tutorials for all key techniques, including Japanese short rows, cable stitches, folded neckband finishing, and 2x2 rib bind-off. Step-by-step video
guidance throughout the pattern explains the construction and helps build confidence along the way.

Yarn Characteristics

Weight: Sport: 150m per 50g /164yds per 50g

Blend: 90% Falklands Corriedale / 10% Mulberry Silk

Falklands Corriedale: This fibre has a good long staple length, is smooth with a hint of lustre and oodles of bounce. The breed is derived from a cross of the Merino sheep and Lincoln Longwool.

Mulberry Silk: This fibre is produced by the Bombyx silk moth. It has the lowest micron count of any natural fibre making it incredibly soft and extremely lustrous. When added to a blend it gives the fibre a phenomenal drape, durability and shine.

Care instructions

Our yarns are steamed after being spun. This makes them bloom. Once your knitted piece is finished, we do recommend wet blocking the piece to the given dimensions. This will set all your stitches and guarantee that your garment looks its best.
